How to choose a psychotherapist ?

«Even though the "therapy" approach is important alone, in comparison to the relationship ... it itself becomes of secondary importance»
C. Jung
Choosing the right therapist is a combination of two basic conditions.

a)His or her scientific training. His or her training should have been attained at a trusted and recognised training program.
b) The relationship with the therapist. Good communication and a sense of trust are key criteria. Quality of education on the therapist’s part does not preclude difficulty in communication.

Thus, the most important criterion for the selection of a therapist is to feel safe and comfortable enough to build a relationship that will transform your life in the direction that you deeply desire.
